Uklon together with Lviv Regional Military Administration and Lviv City Council review one year of the service’s operation during the curfew
The Uklon online ride-hailing service, in partnership with the Lviv Regional Military Administration and the Lviv City Council, has released the results from the first year of the service’s operation during curfew hours.
Since October 2024, Lviv residents have been able to order a ride during the curfew. Over this period, Uklon users have completed more than 330,000 rides between 00:00 and 05:00.
The Railway Station proved to be the most popular destination and departure point, accounting for approximately 15% of all pickups and over 9% of all drop-offs from the total number of orders.
Additionally, over the year, more than 2,500 rides were made to essential medical infrastructure, including hospitals, pharmacies, and veterinary clinics.
The peak demand for rides occurs right at the start of the curfew, between 00:00 and 01:00. This highlights the service’s critical role for individuals whose work ends later than the standard public transport schedule allows.
“Lviv serves as both a powerful transport hub for passengers from across the country, and a large medical hub where both military and civilians receive treatment. The high demand for our service confirms the correctness of the joint decision of the Lviv Regional Military Administration and the Lviv City Council: the monthly number of the curfew rides has nearly doubled since the project’s launch. We are sincerely grateful to our partners for effective cooperation, which allows the city’s residents and guests to use the platform’s services at nighttime”, said Mykola Soroka, Head of GR at Uklon.
“By launching nighttime transportation during the curfew, we aimed to ensure that people could travel when they really needed to — while maintaining clear safety and control requirements. After a year of operation, we see that this model has proven itself: the service operates responsibly, within the limits of defined rules, and with real practical results for citizens. The data Uklon is presenting today together with the city helps us better understand people’s needs at night and plan our work accordingly — from logistics to the deployment of on-duty services. We are grateful to our partners for their transparency and for ensuring this project remains useful and safe for the Lviv region”, commented Taras Hren, Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Office.
