Uklon presented the Uklon Driverless remote driving technology to the business community

On July 9, Uklon held a presentation for its research project testing remote vehicle control technology—Uklon Driverless. The event was hosted in partnership with the Diia City United association on the grounds of Boryspil International Airport, bringing together representatives from Ukrainian IT companies, the logistics sector, agribusiness, and investment funds.

Serhiy Hryshkov, CEO of Uklon, presented the project to the business community, outlining the prerequisites for implementing remote-driving technology, global industry trends, how the system operates, and forecasts for integrating autonomous vehicles (AV) in Ukraine:

“Autonomous mobility is no longer a question of ‘if,’ but a question of ‘when.’ We want Ukraine not to chase this trend, but to actively participate in shaping it. That is why we are testing, showing, and sharing experience—and Driverless is precisely about that,” noted Serhiy Hryshkov.

During the presentation, drivers participating in the Uklon Driverless project—Maksym Kryzhanivskyi, Ruslan Kovalenko, and Russian-Ukrainian war veteran Dmytro Bykhovchenko—shared their practical experience operating the remote control system. Notably, to master controlling a remote vehicle, the drivers underwent 40 hours of training.

The event program continued with a panel discussion moderated by Nataliya Mykolska, Executive Director of Diia City United. Together with Uklon CEO Serhiy Hryshkov, practical scenarios for integrating AV technologies into the Ukrainian economy were discussed by Andriy Zhukovskyi, CEO of Kyivstar.Tech, Andriy Zhukovskyi, CIO of Kyivstar, and Andriy Pishyi, CTO of Kernel.

The practical portion of the event concluded with a demonstration of the remote-driving technology in the airport parking area, where participants had the opportunity to experience it firsthand during test rides.
